Before photos of patients may be captured at registration, an image title named "Charlink Photo" must be created in the Image Titles table.

Once the Chartlink Photo image title has been created, the patient's photo may be taken at the time of registration. To begin, select the Add File tab in Electronic File Management. Select the Scanner radio button and then select Chartlink Photo from the Description drop-down. Once Chartlink Photo has been selected, the Scan option will become enabled. Select Scan to continue.

The Page Properties of cpscan will then display. Select the name of the camera being used to capture the photo from the Source drop-down. The Enable Automatic Document Feeder, Show driver user interface and Enable Duplexing fields must all be selected. Once the Page Properties are set accordingly, select OK to continue.

NOTE: The resolution, color depth and size may be defaulted in the Image Titles table.

The patient will then display on the screen. To take the patient's photo, select the Snapshot option. Select Exit once the photo has been taken.

NOTE: Each time Snapshot is selected, the system is taking a photo of the patient.

If the photo of the patient looks good, select thesave_icon_2 Save icon on the toolbar to save the picture to the patient's account. If the picture needs to be re-taken, select the delete_2 Delete icon to take the picture again.

The picture will then be listed on the patient's File List tab.
