Grouper > Diagnosis > Reason for Visit Flag

The Reason for Visit Flag is used to identify multiple diagnoses as the Reason for Visit at one time. To begin, select the first diagnosis then hold down the "Ctrl" button on the keyboard and select the additional diagnosis codes. Up to three diagnoses may be selected. After the desired diagnoses have been highlighted, select Reason for Visit Flag.

Diagnoses - Reason for Visit Flag

When flagged, a Y will pull the Reason for Visit column for the diagnoses. The Reason(s) for Visit will also be added to the Reason for Visit screen. Up to three Reason for Visit diagnoses may be selected. If a diagnosis has been marked as the Reason for Visit and the Reason for Visit Flag option is selected, TruBridge EHR will remove the Y from the Reason for Visit column indicating that the diagnosis is no longer the Reason for Visit.

The Reason for Visit diagnoses may also be added separately on the Reason for Visit screen. To begin, select Reason for Visit from the drop-down menu.

The Reason for Visit screen will display. The Reason for Visit diagnoses may be added or edited from this screen using the same options that are available when adding a New Diagnosis and Editing an existing diagnosis.

NOTE: Up to three Reason for Visit diagnoses may be identified; therefore, the option to add a New Diagnosis will not be accessible when three Reason for Visit diagnoses are identified.
