One of the main components of Promoting Interoperability requires the use of certified EHR technology (CEHRT) for electronic exchange of health information in order to improve quality of health. Clinical Information Reconciliation enables users to view and electronically reconcile the data elements that represent a patient's active medications, problems and allergies. Users will have the ability to merge and remove individual data elements, review and validate the accuracy of a final set of data elements and, finally, automatically update the list.
A couple of important notes regarding Clinical Information Reconciliation:
•Clinical Information Reconciliation must be activated in the application settings table in Identity Management to utilize this application. Please contact your TruBridge Sales Representative about activating the Clinical Information Reconciliation application.
•Users need Application Security of Clinical Information Reconciliation to access the Clinical Information Reconciliation application. In conjunction with this, in order to take full advantage of Clinical Information Reconciliation, users will also need security access to the Allergies, Problem List, Prescription Entry and Medication Reconciliation applications to have the ability to complete clinical reconciliations.
• An event has been added to Medication Reconciliation History when medications are imported via Clinical Information Reconciliation to an active Medication Reconciliation session. Medications reconciled this way will be labeled Reconciled from Clinical Information Reconciliation and display the date and time, user login, and user name of the user that performed the clinical reconciliation.
• For clinics, if the user has completed Clinical Information Reconciliation for medications via Medication Reconciliation or Prescription Entry, the user will not receive the Clinical Information Reconciliation screen prompts in either application unless new pending data is imported.
