The General Configurations tab will include optional settings that may be used in Patient Connect.
General Controls
•Number of days after the appointment to wait before clearing the co-payment balance due amount: This field is associated to co-payment collections. Enter the number of days after the appointment to display uncollected co-payment amounts in the Insurance column on the Scheduled Appointments tab.
•Purge items from worklist after x days: Enter the number of days after a profile or visit is added to the Worklist for it to be automatically purged. The default is 45 days, and the maximum is 99 days.
•Disable editing of address: Select this option to disable the editing of the patient's address, city, state and postal code. The following areas will not be permitted to change the address:

▪Appointment Requests Tab
▪Unscheduled Appointments Tab
▪Creating a new profile
▪Expanded Demographics
•Post information to the EHR in uppercase: Select this option to have key demographic information update to TruBridge EHR in all uppercase when information has been entered in mix case in Patient Connect. These demographics will include:
▪Patient Name
▪Patient Address
▪Subscriber Name
▪Subscriber Address
▪Insurance Group Name
Chat Configurations
•Automatically close chat conversations after X days: Enter the number of days to close a chat. The default for this is seven.
•Close Conversation Message: Enter the default message that displays when closing out of a conversation.
•Use common name for chatting: Select this field to define a common chat agent name to display. When this field is selected the Common Chat Agent Name field will display.
•Common Chat Agent Name: Enter the chat agent name to display in the patient chat. If a name is not specified, the actual username will display.
