Messages are sent to patients throughout the scheduling process via email, text or voicemail if they have selected to Opt In. Patient Connect will use the patient's preferred communication method on their profile to determine which method to send messages as long as the patient has opted in for that type of communication.

 

Affirmation messages will be sent once an appointment has been scheduled. By default, Confirmation messages are sent three days prior to the patient's scheduled appointment. And lastly, Reminder messages, by default, will be sent to patients the day before their scheduled appointment.

 

NOTE: The number of days before an appointment to send Confirmation and Reminder messages may be customized per facility in the General Control or Locations/Personnel tables.
