The Nursing Census report (also known as the Mini Census with Diagnosis report) should be printed prior to each shift for a current listing of patients by nursing station and reviewed for accuracy. It provides a real-time view of all patients currently assigned to inpatient beds across various nursing units. It is used by both Clinical and Revenue Cycle teams to monitor patient placement and census activity within the facility.
