Eligibility Checks may be performed from the Scheduled Appointments tab for facilities with an active contract with TruBridge RCM for eligibility checking. Eligibility will be checked against the patient's primary insurance. This may only be performed on scheduled appointments where a visit and insurance claim have been associated. If this criterion has not been met, the Eligibility Check option will be disabled.
Once an eligibility check is complete, the co-payment amount due will display in the Insurance column of the Scheduled Appointments tab, as well as the Insurance Coverages section of the patient's expanded demographics. A copy of the patient's coverage information will be available in Electronic File Management.
