Effective July 2025, the standard for the TruBridge EHR Insurance Naming Convention has been updated to support more consistent reporting and improved standardization.

NOTE: While the Legacy Financial Class Code Naming Convention is not incorrect, effective July 1, 2025, it is recommended that facilities with an install date after July 2025 use this new standard.

The key updates utilized in the new standard naming convention include:

The use of “I” in the second character position to identify Inpatient claims

The use of “R” in the second character position to identify Recurring claims

Previously, inpatient claims were distinguished by a single character code and Recurring claims were identified with a code ending in “BR”.

IMPORTANT: Regardless of which naming method is utilized, it is essential to maintain consistency in the formatting of Financial Class Codes within the EHR. Inconsistent naming can impact data accuracy and reporting clarity.
