1.Select Report Dashboard from the navigation panel.
2.Select Accountants Report.
3.Select Run.
NOTE: When running this report from Hospital Base Menu > Print Reports > Aging Tab > Accountants Report, an option will display to run the Accountants Report or the Accountants Report by Financial Class report. Please refer to the Accounts Report by Financial Class section of this user guide for more information.
4. Select printing parameters:
•Facility: Select the desired Facility. (Only Facilities selected for access under that User Based Login will be available for selection.)
•As of Date: Use the drop-down box to select a date, or choose Manual Selection to enter a date manually.
•Account: Enter a single Patient Account Number for review, or leave blank to view all Patient Accounts. Wildcarding may be used, taking the following examples into account:
▪3*: will pull all accounts that start with a 3.
▪*3 or *******3: will pull all accounts that end with a 3.
▪*3*: will pull all accounts that contain a 3 in any position.
•Stay Type: Select a specific Stay Type to pull to the report or leave blank to see all Stay Types.
•Bad Debt: Select Bad Debt only if wanting to see Bad Debt accounts. If unselected, the report will pull AR Accounts.
•Rehab Switch: Use the drop-down box to select one of the following options if wanting to pull information for Rehab financial classes:
▪R*: This option will pull all financial classes that begin with R.
▪*BR: This option will pull all financial classes that end with BR.
▪Rehab PPS: This option will pull all financial classes that have the Inpatient Rehab PPS field set to Y on page 6 of the Insurance Company Table.
oIf one of the Rehab options is selected from the drop down, Rehabilitation will also need to be selected as the Report Type.
•Guarantor Name: Enter a Last Name then First Name of a guarantor for the report results to display only patient records containing the specified Guarantor. Wildcarding may be used.
•Report Type: Use the drop-down option to select one of the following: (If this prompt is blank, it will print all report types, but it will not designate which account falls into which report type in the detail section.)
▪Credits
▪Inhouse
▪Blue Cross
▪Rehabilitation
▪Medicaid
▪Medicare
▪Commercial
▪Private Pay
•Over _____ Days Old: To view accounts that are over a certain number of days, enter a number in this field. If this is blank, it will pull all accounts.
•Financial Class: Enter a financial class to run the report for that specific code. If this field is blank, it will be run for all financial classes. Wildcarding may be used, taking the following examples into account:
▪B*: will pull all financial classes that start with a B.
▪*B: will pull all financial classes that end with a B.
▪*B*: will pull all financial classes that contain a B in any position.
•Aging Buckets: Enter the desired aging buckets.
▪If aging buckets are not entered, all accounts will be included in the Over 0 days bucket in the Aging section of the report. Aging buckets entered here do not affect how the aging columns are displayed in the detail portion of the report.
▪The Aging Buckets will not hold the information that is entered once the report is run. It is suggested that the parameters are saved so the information does not have to be keyed in each time.
•Refresh Data: Select this option to regenerate the data pulling to the report.
▪This option does NOT need to be selected every time the report is run. TruBridge EHR will automatically generate the data each night for the previous day. If there is no data for the As of Date that is entered, the system will automatically regenerate the data when the report is run.
•Sections to Exclude: Select one or more of the following desired sections to exclude or leave blank to print all:
▪Exclude Grand Total
▪Exclude Insurance Totals
▪Exclude Aging Totals
▪Exclude Report Totals
•Level of Detail: Use the drop-down box to select one of the following options:
▪Detail
▪Summary
▪Report Summary Only
oTo print a Totals Only report, select Report Summary Only, and in Sections to Exclude, select Exclude Grand Totals, Exclude Insurance Totals and Exclude Aging Totals.
•Include Cover Sheet: Select this option to include a Cover Sheet with the report.
•Safe Mode: Select this option if the report would not build due to bad data being in a field. If the report has bad data, a message will appear stating to run report using the Safe Mode. If selected, Safe Mode will replace all of the bad characters with a ?. This will allow the intended report to generate. The bad data may then be seen and can be corrected from the account level.
•Output Format: Use the drop-down box to select one of the following report Format options:
▪HTML
▪XML
▪CSV
5. Select Run Report to display the report in the selected output format.
