The Nursing Census report is a numerical listing of rooms by nursing station. The diagnosis description will pull to the report for the listed patients. It provides a real-time view of all patients currently assigned to inpatient beds across various nursing units.
This report helps in managing patient care by providing visibility into bed occupancy, unit-specific census level, and patient distribution, supporting effective staffing decisions and source allocation.
The Nursing Census helps ensure accurate tracking of patient stays, supports timely charge capture, and helps validate bed assignments for billing and reimbursement purposes. It can also assist in identifying potential discrepancies between patient placement and system records to prevent revenue leakage or documentation errors.
