DESCRIPTION: Patient Connect has been modified to accommodate voice messaging. Each location in which the phone number is displayed will now have an indicator (green check mark for Opted In or red ‘X’ for Opted Out) informing users of the selected preference. This change can be seen on the Scheduled Appointments tab under the expanded Demographics, the Document Request panel in the header, the Schedule Appointment view when expanding the demographics and in Broadcast Messaging when selecting who the message is to be delivered to.
Each location in which demographic information is entered will now include a field for Phone Number intended to capture the phone number for voice messaging along with the fields necessary to specify if opting in or out for voice messaging. These locations include the Scheduled Appointments tab within the expanded Demographics, the Appointment Request process with matching the profile or creating a new profile, and the Schedule Appointment option when adding a new profile and when editing the demographics.
The delivery of voice messages has only been applied to Broadcast Messaging as Patient Connect is not yet able to receive and process voice responses.
